JABAR EKSPRES —  PT Timah Tbk together with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) prepared 1,000 free homecoming quotas on Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri to help people go home safely and comfortably.

“This free homecoming is a routine program carried out by PT Timah Tbk to help people who want to return to their hometowns and gather with their families on Eid al-Fitr,” said PT Timah Tbk Head of Corporate Communications, Anggi Siahaan, in Pangkalpinang, Tuesday (4/4).

He said the free homecoming entitled “Mudik Dinanti, Mudik Dihati Bersama BUMN 2023” provides 1,000 quotas with the destination of Bangka Island (Pangkalpinang, Muntok, Toboali, Belinyu) for 650 people.

While Belitung Island, namely Belitung and East Belitung with a quota of 250 people and Riau Islands (Tanjung Balai Karimun) with a quota of 150 people intended for students and the general public.

“We collaborate with the Bangka Student Association (ISBA), the Belitong Family Student Association (IKPB), and KPMKR (Riau Islands Student Family) to make this year’s free homecoming a success,” he said.

According to him, the free homecoming is a collaborative activity with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) to help people go home safely, comfortably, and more friendly.

Through this joint homecoming will also divert users of private vehicles, especially motorbikes, to public vehicles that meet safety standards. In addition, the reduced use of private vehicles will also reduce emissions.

“This free homecoming aims to provide safe public transportation modes for travelers,” he said.
