JABAR EKSPRES — Paris Saint Germain lost 0-2 when hosting Rennes in Week 28 of the French League at the Parc des Princes on Monday (20/3).
Two of Rennes’ winning goals were scored by Karl Toko Ekambi in the first half and Arnaud Kalimuendo in the second half.

This defeat did not affect PSG’s position, which is still at the top of the standings with 66 points. Meanwhile, Rennes rose to fifth place with a score of 50 points, according to the official Ligue 1 website.
Paris Saint Germain appeared dominant and continued to press the Rennes defense from the start of the game.
Kylian Mbappe scored a goal in the 23rd minute, but the referee ruled it out because the French striker was already in an offide position.
Three minutes later PSG threatened again. Receiving Lionel Messi’s pass, Kylian Mbappe only had to face goalkeeper Steve Mandanda. However, his kick was still aimed right at Mandanda.

Despite being attacked more often, Rennes actually managed to steal a goal towards the end of the first half. Benjamin Bourigeaud’s long ball was completed by Ekambi’s shot which goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma could not contain.
The first half ended with Rennes winning 1-0 over the hosts.
Three minutes after the second half started, PSG conceded again. Lesley Ugochukwu’s pass can be struck by Kalimuendo for a goal. Rennes won 2-0.
Behind two goals, Paris Saint Germain immediately locked up the Rennes defense and tried to equalize. However, the visitors defended with discipline.
