During the visit, he will also meet with a number of government officials, regional and municipal authorities, local nongovernmental organizations, disability activists business and religious leaders, and other stakeholders.
The meeting is being held to encourage full social and economic empowerment and inclusion for people with disabilities.
Previously, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini on Tuesday (26/9) said she was leading preparations for the AHLF to be held in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on October 10-12, 2023.
“We are in the process of making easy access for people with disabilities in several places. This is to show that Makassar is a civilized society that respects the rights of persons with disabilities,” he said.
The Minister said the forum was held to show the spirit of ASEAN countries’ partiality to persons with disabilities.
