JABAR EKSPRES – PT WIKA Industri Manufaktur (WIMA) as the manufacturer and principal of Gesits in synergy with the Central Jakarta City Government introduces electric motorbikes (molis) to Central Jakarta residents, especially employees of the Central Jakarta Administrative Mayor, Tuesday (9/12).
Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma said the event was important to support sustainable mobility as well as a form of response to the recommendation from the Central Government to start switching to environmentally friendly vehicles in the form of electric motorbikes.
“In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to socialize and educate about the benefits that can be obtained by the community in using environmentally friendly vehicles,” said Dhany in a press release received on Wednesday (9/12).

He assessed that the event could provide an opportunity for the public to experience riding an electric motorcycle.
In addition, the activity is expected to raise the enthusiasm and awareness of the community, especially employees of the Central Jakarta Administrative Mayor in utilizing green energy and clean energy that is environmentally friendly can increase.
WIMA President Director Bernardi Djumiril said the socialization of Gesits electric motorbikes at the Central Jakarta Mayor’s Office was a good means to introduce the work of the nation’s children’s innovation while building awareness and environmentally friendly driving behavior for all elements of Central Jakarta society.
“The use of electric vehicles, in addition to being environmentally friendly and saving energy, also saves expenses from operational costs,” said Bernardi.
With the widespread use of electric vehicles, it is expected that the electric vehicle population will grow, and in line with the availability of supporting infrastructure for electric vehicles such as electric vehicle charging stations and battery exchange stations.
At this event, employees at the Central Jakarta Mayor’s Office will have the opportunity to take a closer look and experience firsthand the performance and reliability of the Gesits electric motorcycle through driving tests and demonstrations of Battery Asset Management Services (BAMS) developed by WIMA’s shareholder, Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC).
