Trump Surrendered to Authorities Spent 20 Minutes in Jail and Was Released After Paying a Fine

JABAR EKSPRES – Former US President Donald Trump on Thursday (24/8) surrendered to authorities in Fulton County in Georgia and was held for nearly 20 minutes in the county jail.

After nearly 20 minutes in the Fulton County Jail, Trump was released on $200,000 bail.

Trump is accused of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 US presidential election in Georgia.

At the jail, Trump was fingerprinted and photographed. He became the first president in US history to experience such treatment.

Trump faces 13 criminal counts, including violations of Georgia’s RICO Act, attempted oath violations by state officials, conspiracy to impersonate state officials, and conspiracy to make false statements.

Like the 18 others indicted by Fulton County Prosecutor Fani Willis earlier this month, Trump was given until Friday to turn himself in.

Trump’s former lawyers, Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, also turned themselves in Wednesday.

All defendants are accused of conspiring to commit crimes by attempting to manipulate election results in Georgia and other states. The goal is to keep Trump in power.

To date, Trump has been indicted four times in state and federal courts since he left office.

The charges against him relate to paying a cover-up payment to an adult film star.

In addition, he has been charged with trying to overturn the national election results, keeping classified documents without authorization, and trying to prevent investigators from doing their jobs.
