JABAR EKSPRES – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg on Thursday, and agreed to have their officials resolve the border dispute between the two countries.
The dispute over the three-thousand-kilometer Himalayan border, known as the Line of Actual Control (LAC), erupted in May 2020, leading to strife. Thousands of troops were deployed from both sides in the border region, killing 24 people.
