JABAR EKSPRES – Halal tourism first, Umrah worship solemnly later, that is the concept of the tour plus Umrah offered by the travel industry and has become a trend lately because the price is only slightly adrift of the usual Umrah package.
“Traveling with family is necessary, but Umrah worship is not forgotten,” said Cheria Holiday owner and CEO, Cheriatna, through her written statement, Thursday (7/6).
Data shows that the umrah market in Indonesia before the pandemic was around one million people per year. According to Cheriatna, the biggest potential guests for Umrah plus tours come from small cities in Indonesia.

Through the same written statement, President Director of PT Jazira Wisata Farhah Chefa Qonita is optimistic that the Tour plus Umrah package offered will be flooded with enthusiasts.
“The analogy is like this, the regular Umrah package is released at an economical price of IDR 28 million. Jazira Wisata released IDR 30 million for 12 days of Umrah travel, half of which can enjoy halal Turkey tours,” he said.
Farhah said there were around 12 departures of Tours plus Umrah, both low season and high season until the end of 2023.
He presents packages including Turkey plus Umrah, Western Europe plus Umrah, Aqso plus Umrah, Dubai plus Umrah, Egypt plus Umrah, Morocco plus Umrah, Uzbekistan Plus Umrah, and others.
The plan is for him and his team to dispatch participants in August 2023 with a more dominant departure group requesting Turkey plus Umrah.
Later there will be a series of halal Turkish tourist destinations for six days that are targeted, such as Ankara, Bursa, Pamukkale, to Cappadocia. After that, participants can focus on Umrah in Medina and Mecca for five days.
Halal tourism and Umrah worship are equipped with supporting facilities such as star hotels near places of worship, minor transit airlines, and of course typical halal food menu dishes at tourist sites.
