Jabar Ekspres – A soccer museum called LEGENDS, The Home of Football presented by LaLiga was inaugurated at an event featuring world soccer legends in Madrid on Tuesday (20/6) local time.
Quoted from an official statement on Wednesday, LEGENDS President Marcelo Ordás and LaLiga President Javier Tebas joined former soccer players such as Luis Figo, Gary Lineker, Mario Alberto Kempes, Hugo Sánchez, Javier Zanetti, Lothar Matthaus, David Villa and Claudio Paul Caniggia at the official opening of the venue.
They all came to lend their support to the unique project that opened in Madrid on June 1.
“Our dream is to bring the heritage of all the most important football institutions and the legacy of the beautiful game to Madrid, the football capital of the world, for the benefit of the Spanish people and visitors from all over the world. LEGENDS will be an experience in itself,” said Ordás.
“LEGENDS is an important milestone in the history of world sport and we at LaLiga are very proud to be part of this project. We will continue to promote Madrid as the epicenter of sport globally and will do so by protecting the legacy of the game,” Tebas added.
