JABAR EKSPRES – After missing the inaugural series, Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi will enliven the competition in the second week of the Harum Energy Men’s World Tennis Tour 2023.
In the first round, Tuesday, SEA Games men’s singles gold winner 2023 it will be involved in a country duel against Gunawan Trismuwantara at The Sultan Hotel & Residence Jakarta tennis court.
“I don’t know how many times I have met Gunawan,” said Rifqi, ranked 685th in the world singles who qualified directly for the main round of the event, in a written statement quoted, Tuesday (6/20).
“Last time I met, I lost at the 2020 Invitational,” said Gunawan, a wild card main draw recipient.

Apart from Rifqi and Gunawan, Indonesia is represented by Achad Imam Maruf and Giorgio Soemarmo who take advantage of the host wild card facility.
Meanwhile, week one singles finalist Justin Barki will only appear in the doubles sector.
Justin is partnering an experienced Dutchman, Thiemo de Bakker. Being in the bottom half of the draw, the non-seeded pair has the capital to become the dark horse of the ITF M15 Jakarta level tournament.
Justin has eight ITF doubles titles, while de Bakker was the world number one junior tennis player in 2006, and was ranked 40th in world singles in 2010.
Cambodia 2023 SEA Games men’s doubles silver-winning duo Nathan Anthony Barki/Christopher Rungkat are the event’s top seeds. Nathan/Christo have collected two ITF doubles series titles.
