Ministry of Religious Affairs Urges Pilgrims to Save Energy for The Peak of Haji

JABAR EKSPRES – Director of Haji Management Arsad Hidayat has urged prospective pilgrims to save energy for the peak of the hajj pilgrimage.

“Pilgrims who fall into the category of risti should calculate their health condition well, do not force themselves to make their health condition worse,” said Arsad, in Mecca, Tuesday.

According to him, there is another view that worship in the Land of the Haram has the same virtue as people who perform worship at the Grand Mosque.

Arsad said that when transportation in Mecca is crowded, pilgrims should do activities at the hotel because each hotel has a mosque or prayer room.

In addition, if there are pilgrims who perform voluntary worship, please pay attention to their health condition so that they are always healthy and excellent so that the pillars of Hajj can be carried out.

“For those who are still young and physically strong, go ahead, but we recommend saving energy for the peak of Haji,” said Arsad.

The factor of congenital or comorbid diseases, according to Arsad, is the cause of the high number of pilgrims who fall into high risk conditions (risti).

“Their weak physical condition and congenital diseases from the country plus their hectic activities make them sick,” said Arsad.

Arshad said that the first batch of pilgrims who landed in Medina had performed the Arbain service for 8 days, which drained the pilgrims’ physical condition before continuing their hajj activities in Mecca.

“If their condition allows them to perform the Arbain service, but if it is not possible, do not force them and make their condition worse,” said Arsad.

According to data from the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic, pilgrims aged 50-59 years are ranked second among pilgrims with risky conditions.
