JABAR EKSPRES – Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) Bogor assisted the West Java Natural Resources Conservation Center (BBKSDA) in evacuating five crocodiles from Ciamis and Cirebon.
“The five wild crocodiles were evacuated from residential areas in Ciamis and Cirebon. Three from Ciamis and two from Cirebon,” said Taman Safari Bogor Head of Animal Curator Imam Purwadi in Cisarua, Bogor Regency, Thursday.
According to him, the move is a form of Taman Safari’s commitment to wildlife conservation in Indonesia.
“They were evacuated to Taman Safari Bogor as an effort to conserve wildlife to avoid conflict with residents,” he said.

Imam said the evacuation process of the five crocodiles went smoothly and safely with direct monitoring by the West Java BBKSDA.
“It should be noted that this evacuation was carried out under the supervision and request of West Java BBKSDA,” Imam said.
Taman Safari Bogor, said Imam, was chosen by West Java BBKSDA as the agency for evacuating and rehabilitating crocodile animals from Ciamis and Cirebon because it has the readiness of supporting facilities and infrastructure.
“TSI was chosen because of the readiness of supporting facilities and infrastructure. Meanwhile, we will rehabilitate the five crocodiles in the crocodile farm at Taman Safari Bogor,” he said.
