Arsjad emphasized that ASEAN-BAC will play a role in harmonizing food standard regulations in ASEAN through close cooperation with member countries.
Meanwhile, ASEAN-BAC Food Security Policy Manager Arif Rachmat explained that a comprehensive policy framework would be important in addressing food safety and food quality control throughout the supply chain.
Through strengthening food standards, he said, ASEAN-BAC is committed to improving food security, supporting sustainable agriculture, creating an enabling environment for investment, and innovation in the food sector.
