“The most important thing is the feeling I have with the bike. I can ride it as well as possible, and I can reach the limits of the bike on all tracks and in all situations so I am very happy for that … We have to keep working like this,” he added.

Pata Yamaha Protemeon rider Toprak Razgatlioglu took second place in Race 2 as he crossed the finish line 8.446 seconds behind the race winner. He remains second in the standings with 212 points, or 86 points less than Bautista.

Local hero Axel Bassani (Motocorsa Racing) took Race 2 and earned his fifth podium, his first since San Juan 2022. He is fifth in the standings with 126 points and is the current top independent team rider.

“This is a very special place for my first podium this year. I am very happy for the team because we worked very hard and never gave up,” Bassani said.

“I’m very happy and want to continue in this way, but now we have to enjoy this moment and then focus on the next race! I’m really happy, I don’t have many words to say! Having a podium at home already feels like a victory!” he added.
