In the event “The Secret of Krispy and Juicy McD Chicken” in Jakarta, Wednesday (31/5) , McD Indonesia Marketing Director Caroline Kurniadjaja said McD’s fried chicken product is a favorite menu of the Indonesian people. In fact, fried chicken at every McD Indonesia outlet is claimed to have the same taste according to established standards.
“Everywhere it tastes the same, crispy and juicy,” Caroline said.
The superiority of McD’s fried chicken, which is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, is not without reason. Caroline said the chicken raw materials selected are always fresh, high quality, and cut on the same day. In addition, a special fried chicken making team called chicken specialists will ensure that the chicken processing is made properly and according to standards.
Meanwhile, McD Indonesia QA Manager Imam Gazali said there are special procedures for chicken raw materials, starting from the process at the farm, slaughtering to delivery to McD outlets in Indonesia. Slaughtered chicken that will be sent to McD outlets must be at a low temperature and in good condition or not bluish.
“We have to pay attention to the temperature, the humidity,” said Imam.
He also said that the chicken supplied to McD does not contain hormone injections and is raised naturally. Therefore, the selection of chicken is one of the important things so that the chicken to be served can taste delicious and safe for consumption.
In addition to chicken selection, complementary ingredients and how to make fried chicken according to McD standards are required before serving to consumers. When making the fried chicken batter, make sure the ingredients used are new and not expired. Then, use cold water with a temperature of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius to mix the fried chicken batter. The use of cold water is useful so that the chicken batter can stick well.
