JABAR EKSPRES – The Department of Cooperatives and Micro Businesses (DKUM) of Depok City, West Java, is ready to print 2,100 new entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs by 2023 through the new entrepreneur and women entrepreneur program.
Head of DKUM Depok City, Dede Hidayat said, this program aims to realize community welfare and the development of economic resources and increase employment through increasing entrepreneurial potential.
“Participants are selected in two stages, first administration and interview,” said Dede Hidayat in Depok, Wednesday (5/31).
Dede revealed that this year’s applicants for WUB candidates and women entrepreneurs exceeded the quota provided, so those who registered were selected for administration and interviews. The main requirement for prospective participants of this program is residents who have Depok ID cards.
“Participants receive various benefits from the WUB program, including a business development dashboard, training, business mentoring, business clinics, access to licensing, access to marketing, and access to capital,” he said.
The training will start from June to August, with participants divided into 16 classes. The resource persons are successful business people, academics, and WUB alumni who have become entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno supports the new entrepreneur and women entrepreneur program initiated by the Depok City Government, West Java.
“This program will produce two big solutions, namely job creation and maintaining the stability of basic commodities,” Sandiaga said.
This program, Sandiaga said, is an extraordinary initiative that involves the community of new entrepreneurs and women.
“Depok City has a very strategic position and will improve its position as a creative city. This is what we hope is no longer a national scale, but we will increase it to an international scale,” Sandiaga said.
Sandiaga Uno added that Depok City can be used as an ecosystem for the creative economy sector with specialization in fields that are needed by many people.
