Kadaker: More Indonesian Hajj Candidates Died in Medina

JABAR EKSPRES – Head of the Madinah Working Area (Kadaker), Zainal Muttaqin, stated that the number of Indonesian hajj candidates who died in Madinah, Saudi Arabia has increased again and this time it was a hajj pilgrim from Kloter JKS 7 named Aminah Uyu Sunarta (64), who died after being rushed to the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI).

“Until today, we have received information that five pilgrims have died. Last night, a pilgrim from JKS 7, Mrs. Aminah,” said Madinah Head of Hajj Affairs Office Zainal Muttaqin, at the morning briefing at the Madinah Hajj Affairs Office (KUH), Wednesday (5/31) 2023.
He explained that Aminah died of respiratory problems and died at the Madinah Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic.
“Based on information from the doctor in charge, she died of respiratory problems. We pray that she will be blessed and that her family will be patient and receive the goodness of what the deceased did,” he said.
The plan is for the body to be buried in Baqi, which is located in the Nabawi Mosque Complex, because the Indonesian Government always strives for Indonesian pilgrims, both male and female, who die in Medina to be buried in Baqi.
“Yes, the plan is to be buried in Baqi. We will confirm with the Indonesian Consulate regarding Mrs. Aminah. We always coordinate with the muassasah and the Nabawi Mosque management or the idaroh funeral office around the Nabawi Mosque. Currently, all four (deceased, ed.) have been buried in Baqi,” he said.
He hopes that all Indonesian pilgrims will be in good health so that they can perform the pilgrimage until it is completed.
“We hope that other pilgrims are in good health and can still perform the pilgrimage,” said Zaenal Muttaqin.
The same thing was conveyed by the Head of Health Liaison Services of Daker Madinah, Dr. Desnita, who said Aminah died due to respiratory problems.
