Arsenal Crush Wolves 5-0 in Last Game of The Season

JABAR EKSPRES – Arsenal crushed Wolverhampton Wanderers five goals without reply in their final English Premier League game of the season at Emirates Stadium on Sunday (5/29) evening.

Granit Xhaka scored twice for Arsenal, with the other three goals scored by Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Jakub Kiwior respectively.

This victory can be a consolation for Arsenal who failed to become Premier League champions after being overtaken by Manchester City in the final weeks. The Gunners finished as runners up with 84 points.

Meanwhile, Wolves will remain in England’s top competition next season after finishing 13th with 41 points, according to the records of the official English Premier League page.

The first goal came in the 10th minute. Starting from Gabriel Jesus’ action on the right, he then fired a cross which Xhaka headed in front of goal to change the score to 1-0.

Arsenal doubled their lead in the 13th minute. This time the cooperation between Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard was completed by Xhaka, who only had to tap the ball into the net. Wolves are already behind 0-2.

Wolves had very few chances throughout the first half with only two attempts. Arsenal also led three goals until halftime.

Arsenal did not reduce the intensity of their attacks in the second half and actually added to the score 4-0 in the 58th minute through Gabriel Jesus’ header after receiving Leandro Trossard’s cross on the left.

Wolves were even worse off after conceding a fifth goal in the 78th minute. A chaos occurred in front of Jose Sa’s goal while trying to get the ball from Emile Smith Rowe’s corner, but Jakub Kiwior managed to kick the ball into a goal.
