JABAR EKSPRES –Super Air Jet (SAJ) will soon open a new Jakarta-Banyuwangi round-trip (PP) route and is believed to be able to boost tourist visits to the easternmost district of Java Island.
“Insya-Allah it is clear. If there are no obstacles, Super Air Jet will start flights on the Jakarta-Banyuwangi round trip (PP) route on May 31,” said the Executive General Manager (EGM) of PT Angkasa Pura II Banyuwangi International Airport, Indrawansyah, on Tuesday (5/16).
According to him, this flight further complements flight services at Banyuwangi International Airport and ease of time.
“This is an accessibility option to Banyuwangi. We are optimistic that this route will further boost people’s visits to Banyuwangi. Moreover, tourism in Banyuwangi has returned to stretch,” Indra said.
He said the occupancy rate at Banyuwangi Airport continues to increase with an average passenger movement reaching 500 people per day so more alternative flight services are needed.
Meanwhile, Lion Air Surabaya-East Java Area Manager, Dyfi Suciyanti, explained, SAJ will open services from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang (CGK) to Banyuwangi Airport (BWX).

Starting from various innovations to various attractions that are held throughout the year in the Banyuwangi Festival.
“The development of Banyuwangi is very rapid. Tourist visits are also high, including millennials. This is one of our considerations for opening a new Jakarta-Banyuwangi route,” said Dyfi.
Super Air Jet is a new player in the Indonesian aviation world. The airline adopts the concept of a low-cost airline, with its main target being millennials.
