JABAR EKSPRES – Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin monitored the readiness of the Komodo Hospital as a referral hospital at the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.
RSUD Komodo is one of the referral hospitals to treat VVIP patients at the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.
“I came here to make sure the tools and facilities are ready,” said Budi after conducting a review of the Komodo Hospital, Labuan Bajo, Sunday (30/4).
He came with West Manggarai Regent Edistasius Endi and his Deputy Yulianus Weng to monitor from one room to another. They did this to directly monitor the smooth construction of the Komodo Labuan Bajo Hospital.
According to him, there are a number of rooms that need to be rearranged, including the tools and supporting facilities. However, he mentioned that the hospital’s equipment would come today for immediate installation.
“The furniture for the reception area, he said, will arrive today, it has started to be installed,” he said.
At the same time, he also made a visit to a cardiac catheterization laboratory designated as a special room for heart disease and stroke. Budi explained that the room had quite sophisticated equipment with high radiation levels. The equipment can only be operated by specialist doctors with special education.
“The device is planned to come tonight at eight o’clock. Hopefully, in 2 or 3 days it can be completed. Because the installation process is quite complicated,” he explained.
Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin also discussed with the workers and asked them to work 24 hours. He also added that there would be a similar visit next week.
“Open only for events. Apart from serving guests, the community is also served,” he concluded.
After visiting the Komodo Hospital, he also visited Siloam Hospital, which is also a referral hospital.
Apart from the two hospitals, Santo Yosep General Hospital in Labuan Bajo has also been appointed as a referral hospital at the ASEAN Summit. It is the same with Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital in Makassar and Prof. Dr. Nggoreah I G N G Ngoerah Hospital in Bali.
