Indonesian Student in Australia Received Threats from the Governor of Lampung After Delivering Criticism

JABAR EKSPRES – Social media activist and Indonesian student in Australia, Awbimax Reborn or Bima Yudho received various threats from regional heads in his hometown, Lampung, Indonesia.

This happened after he made presentation content discussing the reasons why Lampung Province had not progressed since long ago.

In the three-minute video, Bima makes four points regarding his complaint against Lampung. “The first reason is limited infrastructure. There are so many stalled government projects in Lampung. For example, in Kota Baru, since I was in elementary school until now, I haven’t heard from them again,” Bima said on the video of his TikTok account.

Bima said that the flow of funds from the central government to build Kota Baru was actually very large. But in reality, a lot of development there was abandoned.

“The flow of funds from the central government is in the hundreds of billions of rupiah, dude. And I didn’t know that now (Kotabaru) has become a place where “genies throw away children” maybe,” said Bima.

One of the points that people complain about the poor infrastructure in Lampung is that many roads are damaged.

It is considered that the roads in Lampung are never smooth, even though this is the most important thing in advancing the economy of a region.

“And also the roads in Lampung. I often discuss roads because roads are like the most common infrastructure for economic mobilization in Lampung. But the roads in Lampung are like 1 KM long and look good, 1 KM is damaged. The material for the road is just taped (sand).”

On the second point, Bima discussed education issues in Lampung. One of them is fraud in the registration of new students.

“I’m not saying that Lampung lacks smart people. Lampung has a lot of smart people. There are even many ministers (in Indonesia) from Lampung, such as Erick Thohir, Sri Mulyani, and the Minister of Agriculture from Lampung. Correct me if I’m wrong, I forgot his name,” said Bima.
