JABAR EKSPRES —PT Semen Indonesia Tbk or SIG held Safari Ramadhan 1444 Hijriah by distributing 1,535 food packages to residents in six villages in Kebomas and Gresik sub-districts, Gresik Regency, East Java.
The six villages are Singosari, Gending, Sidomoro, Segoromadu, Kramatinggil, and Sidorukun villages,.
SIG President Director, Donny Arsal, said that this basic food assistance is a form of SIG’s concern for the community in the area around the company’s operations, so that it is expected to provide benefits and blessings.
“In this holy month of Ramadan, SIG wants to improve harmony and maintain the synergy that has been well established between the company, residents, local government, and other stakeholders,” Donny said on Thursday (6/4).

The State-Owned Enterprise (BUMN) in the infrastructure sector distributed food packages containing 5 kilograms (kg) of rice, 2 liters of cooking oil, 1 kg of sugar, and 1 can of sardines.
In addition, during Ramadan 1444 Hijri, Semen Indonesia also provided assistance to teachers of the Al-Qur’an Education Park (TPQ), takjil money to musholla and mosques, as well as a sharing program with the Indonesian Blind Association (Pertuni).
On the same occasion, the Head of Singosari Village, Nastain, expressed his appreciation to SIG for showing concern by providing food assistance to 1,535 residents including in Singosari Village.
“I would like to thank SIG for always being present and caring for the residents so that it can help alleviate the community in the month of Ramadan and ahead of Eid al-Fitr,” said Nastain.

Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries, Siti Aminah, was grateful to get basic food assistance from SIG, which could ease the burden and help meet the needs during the worship in the month of Ramadan this year.
“Alhamdulillah, this (basic food) is for fasting. Later I will use it to cook for suhoor and iftar, hopefully it will be a blessing,” said Siti Aminah.
