JABAR EKSPRES – Executive General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport Main Branch Office Dwi Ananda Wicaksana said as many as nine member countries of the ASEAN Summit will arrive in the country through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten on Monday (9/4).
“Those who have arrived today are from Cook Island, Timor Leste, Vietnam and Cambodia. The rest of Laos, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Singapore, the Philippines and Bangladesh will arrive this afternoon to evening,” he said.
He said, the heads of state and delegations from the nine countries that arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, boarded state and commercial aircraft.
“Two of the nine countries boarded commercial aircraft, such as the Prime Minister of Cook Island on a Qantas plane and the Prime Minister of Timor Leste on Garuda Indonesia,” he added.
He revealed, in organizing the ASEAN Summit, his party only supported activities to arrange flight schedules so as not to clash with aircraft from other countries.
“To welcome the head or leader of the country who is the host is the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs). We as airport operators support flight activities, aircraft parking and the flow of guests at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, “he explained.
During the ASEAN Summit, Soekarno-Hatta Airport continues to serve regular flights. It has arranged the arrival and departure schedule, so that it is adjusted to the regular daily schedule.
“Then we make sure with our friends from Airnav and the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation, the arrival schedule for state leaders is appropriate and does not interfere with regular flights. We in the field will carry out technical operations,” he said.
