The travelin application will continue to be developed to support offline services at the airport. Previously, a new global standard service supported by the travelin application was launched in mid-August 2023 at the BIM Terminal, namely travelinLane.

TravelinLane is a special lane service for prospective aircraft passengers in processing departures without hassle or showing identity cards and physical boarding passes during checks at security check point two. Prospective passengers simply show their face on the face recognition device to verify themselves.

Travelers who want to take advantage of the service must follow several steps including downloading the travelin application on iOS or Android-based devices, and logging into the application. Next, select the travelinPass menu, verify personal data and biometrics (face) which will be validated to the population and civil registry data system.

“After the validation process is carried out, the traveler can carry out the process to get a travelinPass,” he explained.

Siswanto added that in addition to improving customer experience, the travelinLane service also strengthens the security aspect. Because, through the facial recognition system, the security aspect at BIM is increasing to the next level.
