Verstappen Gears Up for Hungarian Grand Prix

JABAR EKSPRES – Defending champion and leader of the 2023 Formula 1 standings, Max Verstappen of the Red Bull team, is making strategic preparations and technical updates for this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix.

According to a report from AFP, Verstappen is hoping to bring a number of improvements to his car in order to repeat his success at last year’s Hungarian Grand Prix. He is optimistic that the measures will hit the mark and improve his team’s performance.

In addition to his ambition to win at the Hungaroring Circuit in Budapest, Verstappen is also keen to widen his lead over teammate Sergio Perez, who is currently second in the standings this season.

However, Verstappen realizes the competition will be even tougher, especially after his narrow victory ahead of McLaren driver Lando Norris and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton at the British GP earlier in July.

Hamilton’s role should also not be ignored as he still holds eight record wins at the Hungaroring Circuit.

Verstappen described the Hungaroring track as a low-speed corner that requires high technical ability for the drivers who will face it.

“This situation is always interesting. Last year, the rainy weather and cold temperatures made it difficult to make the right decisions. But as a team, we remain calm and hope to make wise decisions in the upcoming races,” Verstappen said.

Having won six consecutive victories this year, the 25-year-old racer is predicted to win his third consecutive world title, while the Red Bull team is also believed to maintain the top position in the constructors’ standings this season.

The 12th round of Formula 1 in Hungary is scheduled to take place on July 21-23.
