Jabar Ekspres – Team ROKiT BMW Motorrad rider Michael van der Mark is reportedly ready to return to the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) in Czech after recovering from the injury that befell him at the Dutch WSBK in Assen, at the end of April.
Quoted from the official WSBK statement on Tuesday, van der Mark said he had adapted well to getting back behind the wheel of the M1000RR bike.

“I enjoy the development. I just want to ride a motorcycle because that’s what I’ve done all my life. There is no pressure from BMW. They want me 100 percent fit and I think I’m pretty close to that condition,” said the Dutch racer.
As for van der Mark, he had an accident while competing in his home race. He fell at Turn 16 and was immediately taken to the medical center and called a fracture. He then underwent surgery on his fractured left femur and underwent an intensive recovery process.
As he recovered, van der Mark continued to train at the circuit that brought him down, Assen, in recent weeks to assess how he felt on the bike.
He was initially replaced by Ivo Lopes in Barcelona before Tom Sykes replaced him in WSBK Italy and WSBK Britain. However, Sykes was also injured after his Race 2 crash in the UK with Leon Haslam stepping in to replace him at Imola.
“In our weekend at Imola, we had two top-ten finishes in each race. I think we can be quite satisfied with that,” said BMW Motorrad Motorsport Director Marc Bongers.

“Now we’re looking forward to Most, a track where we were very successful last year. We will also see the return of Michael van der Mark there!” he added.
