“The videos circulating on social media are damaging the image of France,” he said in an interview.
French Education Minister Pap Ndiaye told RTL on Tuesday that 243 school buildings were also damaged during the protests, including dozens that were destroyed or partially destroyed.
He also mentioned losses in the tens of millions of euros, and emphasized that the state would provide the necessary support to local authorities.
