The movement of the Al-Mashaer train connecting Muzdalifah to the Jamarat Bridge has started, which has so far helped more than 106,000 passengers,” Saudi Arabia’s Transportation and Logistics System Spokesman Saleh Al-Zuwaid said in Makkah on Thursday.
He said the operation of the Al-Mashaer electric train is going according to plan and will continue to provide easy transportation services for pilgrims for 24 hours.

He stated that he is preparing to implement the operational plan for the departure stage, both pilgrims who want to return to their countries through the airport and to Medina by road or by Al-Haramain train.
Al-Haramain, Al-Zuwaid added, continues to implement its operational plan during this year’s Hajj season, in which more than 1.5 million seats are provided through more than 3,000 journeys.
For the air sector, the operational plan for the second phase of this year’s Hajj season began by preparing six airports designated for foreign and domestic pilgrims.
Regarding cooperation with the Royal Commission for the City of Mecca and the Holy Places, he said he is studying the development of transportation between the holy places and the provision of various modes of transportation, such as connecting the Al-Mashaer train with the Al-Haramain train, passing through the central area.
