JABAR EKSPRES – French stocks ended higher on Tuesday local time (6/27/2023), recording gains for the second day in a row, with the benchmark CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange adding 0.43 percent or 31.23 points to settle at 7,215.58 points.
The CAC 40 index rose 0.29 percent or 20.93 points to 7,184.35 points on Monday (6/26/2023), after decreasing 0.55 percent or 39.86 points to 7,163.42 points on Friday (6/23/2023), and slumped 0.79 percent or 57.69 points to 7,203.28 points on Thursday (6/22/2023).
Of the 40 stocks of selected large companies that are components of the CAC 40 index, 31 stocks managed to gain, while eight stocks suffered losses and one stock traded unchanged.
Publicis Groupe SA, a French multinational advertising and public relations group and one of the world’s oldest and largest marketing and communications companies jumped 3.24 percent, becoming the top gainer of the leading stocks or blue chips.
This was followed by shares of French multinational payment and transactional services company Worldline SA, up 2.20 percent; and automotive industry company that designs, manufactures, markets and repairs passenger cars and light commercial vehicles Renault SA, up 1.59 percent.
Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE, a customer relationship management services company and maker of programs to attract new customers, suffered the most losses (top loser) among the leading stocks, with its share price slipping 1.52 percent.
Followed by shares of French multinational integrated energy and petroleum company TotalEnergies SE, which lost 1.08 percent; and semiconductor integrated circuits design, development, manufacturing and marketing company STMicroelectronics NV, which lost 1.05 percent.
