Alex Marquez and Giannantonio Optimistic About Bouncing Back in German MotoGP

JABAR EKSPRES – Two Gresini Racing riders Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio are optimistic that they can achieve better results at the seventh round of the 2023 MotoGP at the Sachsenring, Hohenstein-Ernstthal, Germany, on June 18.

Last weekend, Alex and Giannantonio did not perform well at the Italian GP. Alex failed to finish after falling. While Giannantonio finished in 14th position.

“The Italian MotoGP was a positive race with a good pace especially in the rest of the race, although a technical problem in the last five laps prevented us from making one or two more positions. But we got a lot of data for the next race,” Giannantonio said in a written statement received by Indonesia Window here on Thursday.

Meanwhile Alex said that at the Italian GP he made a small mistake at the corner when he was too deep and touched the white line.

“The MotoGP race at the team’s home for me is very important. We showed once again that we can stay there (top five position), but I need more experience with the bike I am riding,” Alex said.

On a different occasion, Consumer Brand General Manager of PT ExxonMobil Lubricants Indonesia (PT EMLI) Rommy Averdy appreciated the struggle of the two Gresini Racing riders while performing in Italy.

“The three-week break made Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio very excited and tried to perform perfectly in the Italian MotoGP which is the home of the Gresini Racing MotoGP Team,” said Rommy.

“Unfortunately, Alex Marquez’s good moments in the front group could not be maintained until the end of the race. But at this moment Fabio Di Giannantonio managed to bring home additional points in the standings,” he added.

He is optimistic that Alex and Giannantonio can achieve better results at the next race in Germany. According to him, the role of mechanics in providing expert recommendations is needed for riders in riding their motorbikes.
