According to him, Diskominfo Bandung is targeting 50 parks in Bandung to be facilitated by free WiFi. So that access to the internet network for public use can be more evenly distributed.
5. Bandung City Metaverse Development
Diskominfo of Bandung City together with BUMY (Foundation Owned Business) of STMIK AMIK BANDUNG (SAB) Campus collaborated in the research and development of Metaverse prototype of Bandung City.
Secretary of Diskominfo of Bandung City, Darto AP, said that the metaverse allows people to do things like go to virtual concerts, travel online, create or view artwork and try on digital clothes to buy.
“Bandung as the capital city of West Java Province certainly does not want to be left behind with the technology trends that continue to develop rapidly,” said Darto.
In addition, the presence of 3rd generation (3D) internet is one of the important things to welcome the Metaverse. Likewise, the 5G network is key in the Metaverse era.
“Thus we hope that services to the citizens of Bandung can be improved through the help of technology,” he said.
