JABAR EKSPRES – Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel Regional participated in coastal cleanup activities with the Ministry of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia (KLHK) which was simultaneously carried out at 135 points in Indonesia.
Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Sumbagsel, Zibali Hisbul Masih, in Bandarlampung, Saturday, said that one form of Pertamina Patra Niaga’s support in commemorating World Environment Day 2023 is through coastal cleanup activities on Pasaran Island, Bandarlampung, Lampung Province.
“Through the synergy of Coastal Clean Up activities, Pertamina Patra Niaga supports the government’s efforts in reducing plastic waste, not only in reducing plastic waste but up to sustainable waste management,” said Zibali.
In this activity, all cleaning tools used for coastal cleanup activities were donated to Kotakarang Village so that they could be reused to continue maintaining environmental cleanliness.

“Through this activity, hopefully it will become the initial momentum to take concrete actions to maintain the cleanliness and sustainability of the coastal environment. Let’s increase public awareness and education about the importance of maintaining beach cleanliness. Through neat cooperation and collaboration, I am sure we can realize significant positive changes,” Zibali concluded.
Assistant III for General Administration of Lampung Province, Senen Mustakim said the beach cleanup activity is a movement that involves the community and the business world who care about coastal and marine sustainability, as well as providing opportunities for the community and all stakeholders to participate in coastal and marine pollution control campaigns.
“We express our appreciation to all parties involved in saving and preserving the environment on Pasaran Island and keeping the beach and sea clean from plastic waste and we also express our gratitude to Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagsel, Pertamina Geothermal Energy Ulubelu and Gajahlah Kebersihan who have helped a lot for the implementation of this activity,” he said.
