Evos Legends Secure First Match of MSC 2023 Group Phase

JABAR EKSPRES – Indonesian representative Evos Legends managed to secure the first match of the group phase of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Championship (MSC) 2023, held in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Saturday, with a win over Myanmar team Fenix Esports.

In a match broadcast live by MPL Indonesia, Evos Legends, which was left behind in the first game, successfully turned things around with a 2-1 win over Fenix Esports.

Evos Legends, who fielded Tazz, Saykots, Hijumee, Dreams, and Branz, took an early lead in the first game with dominant play, but Fenix Esports, which was powered by Mok, Beni, J3X, Fayyan, Royalmilk, tried to counteract the attacks.

Saykots and company won the point kill, Turtle gain, and gold, but Fenix Esports was able to counteract Evos’ early to mid-game strategy to take control of the Land of Dawn map.

The highlight came when Evos made a mistake when planning to immobilize Beni. The strategy was foiled by the other Fenix Esports players, who immediately counterattacked to take the first game.

Evos Legends started the second game well, securing First Blood and Turtle. Although the first Lord was taken by Fenix Esports, Tazz managed to get the second Lord thanks to his team’s cohesiveness in distraction.

With the Lord, Evos Legends immediately attacked the opponent’s base, and managed to immobilize all Fenix Esports players. The second game ended in the 14th minute with Evos successfully equalizing 1-1.

In the deciding game, Fenix Esports tried to be aggressive in the early game by taking the first two kill points. However, Evos Legends responded by securing the first Lord.

Fenix tried to turn things around by taking the second Lord. Failing with the attack with the second Lord, the Myanmar team got the third Lord again, but Evos Legends’ defense was too hard to break through.
