The actions referred to by the prosecutor include the defendants requesting and receiving grant funds in 2017-2018 for personal gain.
Then, the three defendants also approved and signed a report on the use of grant funds for 2017-2018 at the Prabumulih City Election Supervisory Committee which was not in accordance with the designation as stated in the regional grant agreement (NPHD).
Based on expert calculations from BPKP South Sumatra, the actions of the defendants were found to have caused state losses worth Rp1.8 billion. Meanwhile, the total grant funds received by Bawaslu Prabumulih from the Prabumulih City Government APBD in 2017-2018 amounted to Rp5.7 billion.
The prosecutor said that the defendants’ actions did not support the government’s program to eradicate corruption and had harmed public trust as aggravating considerations.
