According to him, the left-footed defender is an experienced player both at club and national team and he is looking forward to the player’s actions in the Dortmund defense next season.

“Ramy is a player in his prime, he has accumulated a lot of national and international experience in the Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, Champions League and Europa League, and on top of that he is an integral part of the national team,” said Kehl.

“We are convinced that his sporting development is not finished. In our talks with him, we have seen an absolute desire to attack and compete for titles with Borussia Dortmund,” he continued.

“We are looking forward to working with a player who has a good balance between defensive and attacking play,” he added.

Since being brought in by Monchengladbach in the 2019/2020 season, Bensebaini has made 95 appearances in the Bundesliga. He is a very productive defender where during four seasons in Die Fohlen’s uniform, Bensebaini has scored 19 goals.
