JABAR ESKPRES – Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno has named Wukirsari Village in Imogiri Subdistrict, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, as one of the 75 world-class Best Tourism Villages for Indonesia Bangkit.
“Friends from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy who today together with their enthusiasm crowned Wukirsari Tourism Village as the Best Tourism Village,” said the Minister after signing the inauguration inscription of the Best Tourism Village in Wukirsari, Bantul, Sunday (5/28).
Minister Sandiaga then uttered a rhyme that reads “Vacationing in Yogyakarta is only two days. less. To various beautiful and comfortable places, continue to develop Wukirsari Tourism Village to realize quality and sustainable tourist destinations”.

“We hope that Wukirsari will become a leading destination that will be able to prosper its people, as the target of creating 4.4 million new and qualified jobs,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Bantul, Abdul Halim Muslih, said that the people of Bantul were very grateful to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy for crowning Wukirsari as the Best Tourism Village, and hopefully this togetherness would not pass quickly.
“Pandansari Beach is located in the southern region of Bantul, on holidays there must be many visitors. Wukirsari Bantul in 2022 was designated as a sustainable tourism village, it is appropriate that ADWI (Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia) 2023 should be the champion,” said the Regent in reply to the Minister of Tourism.
Meanwhile, Head of the DIY Tourism Office, Singgih Rahardjo, said that on behalf of the DIY Regional Government, he was proud of the presence of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy in Wukirsari Village, to crown it directly as one of the best tourist villages in Indonesia.
“This shows the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy through the Minister to enter the village, come directly to the tourist village in Yogyakarta to ensure that this tourist village is really developing, it will really have an impact on economic growth in the surrounding community,” he said.
