JABAR EKSPRES – PT Penjamin Infrastruktur Indonesia (PII) is committed to supporting sustainable infrastructure development, especially in the context of equitable development in Indonesia, which is still a challenge along with economic recovery after COVID-19.
One way to answer this challenge is to support innovative financing not only for large infrastructure projects but also for small-scale projects in the regions at the district level, which has been realized in Madiun Regency with the Government Cooperation with Business Entities (PPP) project for Street Lighting Equipment (APJ).
This APJ small-scale project is a form of IIGF’s commitment to supporting sustainable finance, where this project fulfills the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) aspects with the green energy it carries.
“With this success story, IIGF has invited other city and regency governments to participate in the development of other small projects with the PPP scheme,” said President Director of IIGF (Persero), M. Wahid Sutopo in a written statement in Jakarta, on May 8, 2023.
This was conveyed when he participated in the Rountable Discussion themed Breaking barriers – Scaling the sustainable finance agenda in Asia-Pacific organized by The Assets on May 5, 2023 in Incheon, South Korea.
The event was part of the 56th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) held from May 2 to 5, 2023 in the same city.

In addition, Sutopo also said that the potential and opportunities for cooperation from green financing in Indonesia are very large, so PT PII is committed to continuing to increase understanding through various capacity building programs to attract potential investors to invest in accelerating infrastructure development in Indonesia.
