JABAR EKSPRES — Chairman of the Legal and Human Rights Division of the Muhammadiyah Youth Center, Nasrullah, appreciated the Police’s quick action in arresting Andi Pangerang (AP) Hasanuddin.
He hopes that investigators will also process Thomas Djamaludin (TJ) in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
“We believe that based on the strong evidence that has been pocketed by the Police, the person concerned (AP Hasanuddin) will soon be named as a suspect by the Police, and we also hope that brother TJ, the instigator of the problem, can also be processed in accordance with applicable legal provisions,” Nasrullah said when contacted in Jakarta, Monday (5/1).
According to Nasrullah, his party will continue to oversee the legal process of the case until the court process. And appealed to all Muhammadiyah citizens to monitor the progress of the handling of the case.

“We urge all Muhammadiyah citizens, especially Muhammadiyah Youth cadres, to guard and monitor the development of the case in the future,” Nasrullah said.
Investigators from the Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police have arrested AP Hasanuddin, on Sunday (4/30) in Jombang Regency, East Java, at 12.00 WIB.
The researcher at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) was arrested based on a police report filed by Nasrullah on Tuesday (4/25) at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, regarding his comments on Thomas Djamaluddin’s post about the differences in the determination of Eid al-Fitr 1444 Hijri/2023.
In addition to Bareskrim Polri, a number of Muhammadiyah citizens also filed similar reports in several regions, such as the East Java Police, Yogyakarta Police and East Kalimantan Police. All reports have been submitted to the Criminal Investigation Unit and handled by the Cyber Directorate.
