JABAR EKSPRES — Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has scored 34 Premier League goals in one season, equaling the record of two legendary strikers of the league, Andy Cole and Alan Shearer.
Haaland scored one goal when Manchester City played Fulham in a Premier League match at Craven Cottage Stadium, in London, on Sunday (4/30).
The Norwegian national team player converted a goal from the penalty spot in the 3rd minute. After Manchester City striker, Julian Alvarez, was fouled by Fulham defender Tim Ream.
The additional one goal made Haaland this season has collected 50 goals from 44 matches in all competitions. The record made Haaland the first Premier League player to collect 50 goals in one season.
The 22-year-old striker scored 34 goals in the Premier League, 12 goals in the Champions League, three in the FA Cup, and one in the Carabao Cup.
Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, has previously said that his flagship striker, Erling Haaland, can break all existing records.
Haaland’s record was achieved in his first season in The Citizens uniform. Previously Haaland was bought from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer market last season with a dowry of 51.2 million Pounds Sterling.
With six matches remaining in the Premier League, Haaland has a great opportunity to become the player with the most goals scored in the Premier League in one season.
