BMKG Predicts Extreme Weather in North Sulawesi Potentially Continues Until 1 May 2023

JABAR EKSPRES – The BMKG (Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency) stated that the forecast for the potential for extreme weather in North Sulawesi Province will last until Monday, May 1, 2023.

“BMKG issued an early warning regarding extreme weather in several districts and cities in North Sulawesi,” said the Coordinator for Observation and Information at the Sam Ratulangi Manado Meteorological Station, Ben A Molle, in Manado, Friday (28/4).

Ben A Molle expects residents to remain vigilant for the potential for high rainfall with lightning and strong winds. Meanwhile, the BMKG itself continues to disseminate the latest information regarding extreme weather early warnings to the public and authorities.

“Let’s stay alert for the potential threat of landslides, floods and fallen trees,” he said.

On April 29, the BMKG predicted extreme weather that would hit Manado City, Kotamobagu City, Minahasa Regency, North Minahasa Regency, South Minahasa Regency and Bolaang Mongondow Regency.

The following day, he added information about similar weather conditions predicted to occur in the previous areas, Tomohon City, Southeast Minahasa Regency, and North Bolaang Mongondow Regency.

Opportunities for extreme weather for Monday, May 1 2023, are predicted to pass through Manado City, Minahasa Regency, Tomohon City, South Minahasa Regency, North Minahasa Regency and Southeast Minahasa Regency.

This extreme weather prediction continues to other areas of Bolaang Mongondow Regency, especially in the North, South and East regions.
