KPK Examines Three Witnesses in Jambi RAPBD Bribery Case

JABAR EKSPRES –The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) questioned three witnesses in the alleged bribery case of the ratification of the Draft Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBD) of Jambi Province for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

The three witnesses are former Head of Jambi Public Works Office and Executive Staff at the Jambi Provincial HR Development Agency Dody Irawan, Director of PT Athar Graha Persada Muhammad Imaduddin alias Iim, and Jambi Provincial DPRD member for the 2019-2024 period Hasim Ayub.

“Today is the examination of witnesses of TPK in the ratification of the Jambi Provincial RAPBD for the 2017 fiscal year. The examination was conducted at Jambi Regional Police,” KPK Head of News, Ali Fikri, said in his statement in Jakarta, Friday (28/4).

Previously, the KPK had announced 28 suspects in the alleged bribery case related to the ratification of the Jambi Provincial Regional Budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.

They are members of the Jambi Provincial DPRD for the 2014-2019 period, namely Syopian (SP), Sofyan Ali (SA), Sainudin (SN), Muntalia (MT), Supriyanto (SP), Rudi Wijaya (RW), M. Juber (MJ), Poprianto (PR), Ismet Kahar (IK), Tartiniah RH (TR), Kusnindar (KN), Mely Hairiya (MH), Luhut Silaban (LS), and Edmon (EM).

Furthermore, M. Khairil (MK), Rahima (RH), Mesran (MS), Hasani Hamid (HH), Agus Rama (AR), Bustami Yahya (BY), Hasim Ayub (HA), Nurhayati (NR), Nasri Umar (NU), Abdul Salam Haji Daud (ASHD), Djamaluddin (DL), Muhammad Isroni (MI), Mauli (MU), and Hasan Ibrahim (HI).

They are suspected of violating Article 12 letter (a) or Article 11 of Law No. 31/1999 on the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Law No. 20/2001 in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

“The construction of the case is suspected to have occurred in the Jambi RAPBD for the 2017 and 2018 Fiscal Years, listing various infrastructure work projects with project values reaching billions of rupiah that were previously prepared by the Jambi Provincial Government,” said KPK Deputy Chairman Johanis Tanak in Jakarta, Tuesday (10/1).
