JABAR EKSPRES — The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy / Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Kemenparekraf / Baparekraf) provides full support for the implementation of the 2023 Istiqlal Foodtruck Bazaar as an effort to stimulate the economy and create jobs.
“The Istiqlal Foodtruck Bazaar is the result of collaboration between Kemenparekraf with the Jakarta Foodtruck Community and the Istiqlal Mosque,” said Menparekraf/Baparekraf Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as written in a press statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday (11/4).

Sandiaga previously said the same thing during “The Weekly Brief With Sandi Uno” at the Sapta Pesona Building in Jakarta on Monday (10/4).
The culinary bazaar is held at the VIP Parking area of Plaza Al-Fatah Istiqlal Mosque, Central Jakarta, during the period April 1-18, 2023 at 15.30-22.00 WIB.
According to Sandiaga, this culinary market activity utilizes the moment of the fasting month because of the increase in turnover experienced by culinary actors during the Ramadan period until the Eid holiday.
“This is taking advantage of the opportunity (because) in Ramadan the consumption level increases and this is also their momentum to upgrade,” Sandiaga said.

Apart from enjoying the foodtruck festival itself, Sandiaga added, visitors to the bazaar can also get entertainment through the presence of a music corner on April 1-10, 2023.
Sandiaga also invited the people of Jakarta and its surroundings to visit the Istiqlal Mosque and participate in shopping at the Istiqlal 2023 Foodtruck Bazaar.
“Come visit the 2023 Istiqlal Foodtruck Bazaar, I will be there tonight. Enjoy the diversity of culinary menus presented by various local foodtrucks,” Sandiaga said.
In a separate statement, Sandiaga said the culinary industry during Ramadan until Eid has the potential to increase turnover by an estimated 35-45 percent.
