JABAR EKSPRES – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan Heri Akhmadi inaugurated 18 members of the Red and White Flag Raising Troops (Paskibra) at the Indonesian Hall, Meguro in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday (8/15).
Most of the Paskibra members are students of Sekolah Republik Indonesia Tokyo (SRIT) who come from various levels and levels of education and backgrounds, including children with parents of different nationalities or mixed marriages.
“Congratulations on the selection of 18 Paskibra members who have gone through a rigorous selection process and intense training. I hope the selected students can carry out their duties as well as possible, especially when placing the red and white flag in its honorable location,” Heri said in a written statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/16).

Heri advised the Paskibra members to also realize that they come from diverse backgrounds and represent the greatness and plurality of the Indonesian nation with different cultural roots, values and identities and are able to unite, compact, loyal, respect and appreciate each other.
“This is a real example of how beautiful it is when togetherness like this is present throughout the country that we love. I also pray for you to become leaders, figures, and the best sons and daughters of the nation,” said Heri.
In addition to the parents who put the kendit around their children’s waists, the Deputy Indonesian Ambassador to Japan, John Tjahjanto Boestami, Coordinator of the Social and Cultural Information Function, Meinarti Fauzie, Education and Culture Attaché, Yusli Wardianto and Head of SRIT Ari Driyaningsih were also present.
The eighteen Paskibra members are Najwa Nur Adnina, Dzaky Abdurrahman Hakim, Primadriya Airlangga Sinatrya, Carisa Arinka Navalinda, Macca Tanka Soemadipradja, Nalendra Anantri, Alya Nursyifa Kusumo, Michaila Azzahra, Muhammad Bintang Putra Gunawan, Bunga Verliana Trisna, M. Thirafi Ilhamsyah, Ursula Catharina Tri Putri Boestami, Fariz Aditya Ramadhan, Hikaru Todoroki, Mariyana Hanako Mizutani, M. Harits Ramadhan Syahlan, Naomi Natalie Ruauw and Shakila Hiroko Munir.
