Jabar Ekspres – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will meet with Tesla Chief Executive Officer Elon Musk next week to discuss the possibility of more investment in Malaysia.
“Next week Elon Musk has asked to confer with me to discuss the possibility of additional investment in Malaysia,” Anwar said in a statement in front of public officials at Seremban City Hall, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, followed online on Friday (7/7).

According to Anwar, his party wants to manage the country’s economy better so that it can ensure growth is recorded properly. Malaysia’s economic growth in the first quarter of 2023 was recorded at 5.6 percent, higher than Indonesia, Singapore and China.
He said inflation is declining although the prices of goods have not been fully controlled in some cases.
According to the Malaysia PM, a good economic approach is needed to attract more domestic and foreign investment.
“Last week with Japan, added 20 billion (Malaysian Ringgit, about Rp64.9 trillion). This is for ‘ongoing’ (investment),” Anwar said.

In April, Chinese investors agreed to invest RM170 billion. According to him, two weeks ago the world’s largest oil company, Aramco, agreed to increase investment development in Johor.
Anwar believes that starting from good governance, investor confidence to invest will improve.
