JABAR EKSPRES – Manchester City have officially introduced Mateo Kovacic as a new player with the Croatia national team midfielder signing a four-year contract after moving from Chelsea.
“This is a brilliant move for me, and I can’t wait to start my career with City,” Kovacic said on Manchester City’s official website on Wednesday (6/28).
Kovacic said that he greatly admired the way City played under coach Pep Guardiola and called City the best team in the world today.
“Anyone who watches knows that this team is very good under Pep, they are the best in the world. The trophies they have won are proof of that,” he continued.
“Joining this squad is a dream come true for any footballer.”
He also hopes to develop even better as a player under a coach of Pep Guardiola’s caliber.
Player aged 29 that year has strengthened Chelsea for five seasons and recorded 221 matches. He has helped the Blues win the likes of the Champions League, Europa League, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup.
At the international level, he has represented the Croatian national team 95 times and was a key player as his country reached the 2018 World Cup final and finished third at last year’s World Cup in Qatar.
