After Messi and Busquets, Inter Miami Now Target Former Barca Coach

JABAR EKSPRES – Major League Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami are in talks to recruit former Barcelona coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino.

If Martino is appointed as Inter Miami’s new coach, then he will reunite with two of his former players at Barcelona, Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets, who have already joined David Beckham’s club.

Inter Miami are currently looking for a new coach after they sacked Phil Neville. The club only finished last in the eastern region of MLS.

“We are in talks with Inter Miami,” Martino said before the testimonial match for Maxi Rodriguez on Sunday as quoted by The Athletic.

Lionel Messi also appeared in the testimonial match between Newell’s Old Boys and Argentina and scored three goals, including from a free kick.

Apart from Barcelona, Tata Martino has also coached the Argentina national team. Now Messi and Tata Martino have the opportunity to reunite for the third time at Inter Miami.

Later, he not only has the opportunity to reunite with Messi. Martino can also return with his other former foster child at Barcelona then, Sergio Busquets.

Busquets followed Lionel Messi and joined Inter Miami after he did not renew his contract at Barcelona.
