According to Zelenskyy, the text of the bill was sent to EU institutions for additional assessment of whether certain provisions of the ban violate linguistic and minority rights.
The bill was adopted by the Ukrainian parliament, also known as the Verkhovna Rada, a year ago.
Ukrainian Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko tweeted that the adoption of the bill would “protect Ukraine’s cultural space from the ‘Russian world”.
