JABAR EKSPRES – Regent of West Pesisir, Lampung Province, Agus Istiqlal, Sunday (18/6) officially closed the World Surf League (WSL) Krui Pro 2023 in West Pesisir Regency.
On that occasion, the Regent said that the World Surf League or WSL Krui Pro 2023 championship was an effort to revive the tourism and economic sectors.
“Of course the impact is extraordinary for the tourism sector and the economy of MSMEs, and the Krui pro 2023 event is running smoothly,” said the Regent of West Pesisir, Agus Istiqlal, in Krui, Sunday.

He said he was committed to the Krui Pro event where his party would collaborate with related parties to run the world surfing championship event so that it could be held every year.
“So that there is certainty, we will do an MoU or cooperation for the next three to five years,” he said.
He also invited the entire community to always advance the potential that exists in West Pesisir Regency.

“So therefore in the future I would like to invite the entire community, to further advance this potential, and I will work hard to advance Krui Pro to become world-class,” he said.
Furthermore, Regional Secretary Jon Edward, said that in improving human resources, his party would implement or make this surfing sport an extracurricular activity.
“Indeed, we have a plan to make surfing an extracurricular activity in every school from elementary to junior high school,” said Jod Edward.
