Then moved to Sean Gelael, in the evening session. This Red and White racer continues to improve his position, from P14, to 12, 11, 10 to when then make way for Habsburg to return from P9.

Habsburg then Robin also performed brilliantly, taking turns improving position. Once in P6, Habsburg found himself more than 50 seconds behind Manuel Maldonado (Panis Racing).

He drove 3-5 seconds faster per lap to catch Maldonado. After that the wheel moved to Robin, already in P5. Robin needed to catch Neel Jani (Duqueine Team) who was 20 seconds ahead of him.

Before Robin could do his job, good news came for the WRT 31 as the team long in P3, IDEC Sport, suffered a tire blowout while their car was being driven by Laurents Horr and their position slipped dramatically.

Thus the battle for places between WRT 31 and Duqueine Team 30 was not for P4, but P3.

Like Habsburg, Robin was also going faster in the range of 2-3 seconds per lap. In the end, Robin didn’t overtake Jani as the wheel had already changed to Rene Binder, but he did pass Binder.
