JABAR EKSPRES – Head of Pelatnas PBSI Men’s Singles Coach Irwansyah ensures that three Indonesian representatives in the number are ready to perform optimally at the Indonesia Open 2023 which will be held at Istora Senayan Jakarta, June 13-18.
“God willing, hopefully (they can perform optimally). Anyway, we have prepared all the players for many matches. Whatever the championship is, wherever the championship is, they are ready. Hopefully at the Indonesia Open, in their own house, I hope they can get good results,” said Irwansyah when met at Istora Senayan Jakarta, Monday.
He continued, the thing that he always reminds his athletes is to be able to enjoy every match with confidence, considering that all players have practiced hard and will perform in front of domestic supporters.

“What I always tell them is to enjoy themselves. Because people want to watch the show, so (the performance) must be steady and not disappointing, it must be enjoyed by everyone who watches,” said Irwansyah.
“There is no pressure for them from me. But, (Indonesia Open) is an assessment (for) the Olympics. If you are already under pressure first, you can’t (appear loose). As long as the training is okay, everything must be good,” he added.
If described one by one, Irwansyah assesses that Anthony Sinisuka Ginting is still in prime condition following his recent victory at the Singapore Open 2023.
“Said to be tired, definitely tired. But we have prepared them to be truly combat-ready in all championships. After yesterday’s champion, he should (Ginting) be more PD,” he said.
