JABAR EKSPRES – PT Pupuk Indonesia or PI (Persero) provides 375,492 tons of subsidized fertilizer stock in line III warehouses for eastern Indonesia in order to meet the needs of farmers during the second planting season in 2023.
“The stock of subsidized fertilizers is under the authority of the regional sales unit or PSO East starting from East Java to Papua,” said PI Eastern Public Service Obligation (PSO) Sales Vice President (SVP) Agus Susanto at the Ngobrol Bareng Pupuk Indonesia (Ngo-PI) event in West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Friday.
He said the stock of subsidized fertilizers as of June 9, 2023 for eastern Indonesia consisted of urea 217,671 tons, NPK, including cocoa NPK, 157,821 tons.

The urea fertilizer stock is equivalent to 320 percent of the minimum stock set by the government, while NPK is recorded at 351 percent of the minimum requirement.
“That way, Pupuk Indonesia continues to maintain the availability of subsidized fertilizers in eastern Indonesia in order to welcome the second planting season in 2023,” he said.
Specifically, for the NTB region, Agus revealed that Pupuk Indonesia provides 45,044 tons of subsidized fertilizer stocks, consisting of 34,480 tons of urea fertilizer, 11,333 tons of NPK fertilizer, and 231 tons of cocoa NPK.

According to him, the stock provided has met the provisions stipulated in the Minister of Trade Regulation (Permendag) No. 4 of 2023, in which the regulation stipulates producers to provide stock in line III warehouses capable of meeting the needs for the next two weeks.
“If seen from the existing stock of subsidized fertilizers, the stock of subsidized fertilizers in the NTB region can meet the needs for the next month, because the stock of urea is 34,480 tons equivalent to 579 percent, NPK is 11,333 tons equivalent to 325 percent and NPK cocoa is 231 tons equivalent to 663 percent,” he said.
The stock of subsidized fertilizers, he continued, can only be obtained by farmers who meet the criteria and requirements of the Minister of Agriculture Regulation (MOA) Number 10 of 2022 concerning Procedures for Determining the Allocation and Highest Retail Price of Subsidized Fertilizers in the Agricultural sector.
